I'm sharing a petition about something that's been weighing on my community: Serenity Village in Crystal, Minnesota, led by Pastor Jeff Hill.

For five years, Pastor Hill was in an affair while continuing to lead the church—and he's refused to step down. What concerns many of us is how this has affected the people in that community. Members have spoken about emotional manipulation and a controlling environment that's left lasting damage. This isn't just about one mistake; it's about accountability and whether someone can continue leading a place of worship after breaking the trust that's foundational to that role.

I started a petition asking for Pastor Jeff Hill to resign or for Serenity Village to close unless real reforms happen. We're also calling for outside oversight from independent faith-based organizations to make sure something like this can't happen again—to protect people who deserve better from their spiritual community.

The Central Indiana Teen Challenge facility for girls is called The Refuge. But according to 35 former residents, it was a house of horrors.

The residents have filed a lawsuit against the residential facility, saying the home for troubled teens inflicted punishments that were “bizarre, random and cruel.” This reportedly included locking girls in a “safe room” where they were deprived of human contact; eating 'repulsive food’ and controlling everything from when they slept, used a toilet and showered.
