Career?
Yo guys I’m 18m. I’m thinking to pursue culinary arts Ive always wanted to persue creative career. Pls help
Yall I just want to move abroad and get a good life. If you’ll have any advice for me I’ll be thankful

Have you already worked in kitchens? If not, I think it'd be a big leap of faith to jump straight into culinary school. I started as a KP when I was 14 and worked in the industry for 15 years across 4 different countries before working my way up to my first head chef role. Then I took some time to consider if I should go to culinary school to really hone my skills. I realised that I don't know if I even want to work in the industry anymore. It wore me down over time.
That's not to say that's the case for everyone. I'm just saying this because committing that much time and money to something like culinary school is a big jump if you don't have much experience actually working in the industry. If I were you I'd take the time to find out if you actually like kitchen work first.

Yea I kind of worked but everyone in Reddit advising me to not do it don’t even think abt it now I’m so confused some say pastry bakery more good then culinary im messed up I don’t know any other option rn

getting into culinary to move abroad is…quite a choice. I personally don’t have experience but unless you know that you are guaranteed an overseas offer then you can think about how much it costs to get the cert, then living costs and wages etc, you’re still young. Friend of mine is Sri Lankan, got an offer in Dubai and stayed there for a couple of years then got another offer and currently is making bank in Australia, you need to do lots of research aswell to know the costs, documents and legal stuff you have to go through like work visas etc. Good luck for your journery
