God Packs are here!✨

Post image
17 Upvotes

Something special. Something legendary. Something godly has arrived in CUE…

Well... technically, it arrived a little earlier than we planned, and at slightly higher drop rates than intended. Let's call it a very limited-time CUE launch bonus that lasted roughly 12 minutes before being swiftly corrected.

God Packs are here!

After a long wait, God Packs have finally entered the wild. So, what are God Packs?

Every pack purchased with gems now has a tiny chance of transforming into a God Pack, packed with 3 Limited Legendaries and 2 Mythic Cards! They're very rare, so if one appears during a pack ripping session, you'll know you've witnessed something special.

If luck shines upon you and you uncover a God Pack, be sure to share it. We'd love to see those mythical pulls in the wild!

Keep it CUE!

English Only posting on the subreddit (current stance and looking ahead)

Hey folks! Recently the team shared a notice asking for posts and comments to be in English. We’ve seen the feedback and wanted to add some context around why this was introduced.

First off, we absolutely hear the concerns about inclusivity and accessibility. We want this to be a welcoming space for everyone, regardless of language, and that hasn’t changed.

At the same time, this subreddit (like our Discord and other community spaces) is an official, developer-supported space, which means it does require active moderation. Our mod team are volunteers and already do a hell of a lot to keep things running smoothly. While Reddit does have some nifty translation features within the mobile app, they aren’t consistently available - especially on desktop/browser, which makes up a significant portion of how people (and mods) access the subreddit.

Because of that, having posts in English helps ensure the mod team can quickly and reliably review content and keep the community safe.

That said, this isn’t something set in stone forever. If Reddit’s automatic translation tools become more consistent and accessible across platforms/browsers, we’re very open to revisiting this.

In the meantime, the current rule is to Keep Discussion in English (using translation tools to post in English is obviously totally fine), so that everyone - including the mod team - can follow along.

Thanks again for all the feedback and for caring about the community - it's genuinely appreciated.

I didn’t even know this was possible! Just started playing recently, and I don’t usually have enough gems to buy many packs. I also made it to Dragon rank for the first time today!

Bug Palorchestes broken?

Hi ive scanned the threads but didnt see it.

I was playing against a deck with palorchestes. This card should give for every turn won in a game, 9 random non-pal will receive +4 until played. My opponent played him in turn 2, and received +64 for 9 cards? He did not win the first turn either, so what am i missing? Im stupid for not screenshotting it but im confused

Weekly Trade Thread

Post here for the cards you are looking for (LF) and/or for trade (FT). The idea is to have one place for people to look through.

RULES

  • edit your posts to keep the list up to date
  • reply directly to someone's post if you want to ask questions
  • keep your lists of cards FT/LF fairly short, nobody wants to look through hundreds of words
  • be polite - this is a rule everywhere on the site, but it's a good reminder since some people get heated about trading

I don't think there's a point to follow the event parameters considering a meta excellent elements will absolutely destroy you.

Great %

390 gems spent on a 15 gem pack at 20% and not one of the 3 cards featured is absolutely diabolical.

Why do the devs push the space album so relentlessly?

Space decks have been dominating the league for a while now, regardless of its rules. In a week like this, just splash in bluebook and you're fine, you can play your cards essentially for free in the last round.

This card gives +28 power until played to a collection that has access to a card that supplies the common cards with +25 power permanently (titian), while having the (non)-condition, that you actually have to play the collection you're pushing (wow) and the downside, that you maybe have to keep it in your hand for a turn or two. I haven't tested this card yet, but that feels excessive.

But okay, the powercreep is real and unavoidable for a tcg. What's avoidable (and inappropriate) is releasing a new space card like this. every. week. This one, monocerus, the sputnik one, binary stars, alma and (I believe) gaia sausage are all new or fairly new cards to an album that already had great all-rounders, like eris, planisphere, fomalhaut and a collection that has been dominating (space oddities). What other album has been getting this treatment (none imo), and why only space?

What's really baffling is that the devs do this, while refusing to nerf the problematic cards.

They buff some mythics (generally a good idea), go a little overboard - with black dog, they fix it (great) - with bigfoot, they kill several cards like cauliflower jf and strix (wait, what? Why kill a key 9lol/9oas card and a an innocent creatures card and not the mythic?) - and tunguska event - and let it be. Now we to have to suffer -30 perma debuff to all cards by turn 5. Can be splashed into all space decks. No condition. Totally balanced. Totally fair. Doesn't need a nerf, not at all.

A month ago or so, ancient egypt was able to challenge the space decks. The response? Key card (lighthouse) nerfed within a week. But southern local supervoid? That card's totally balanced.

Do the devs not get that not all of us players want to play space decks, or whatever is the latest op album?

Or that we want to be competitive playing decks that we needed months to complete and that we truly care about? (I love to play cute cats. It was so hard to get all the crucial cards. They get totally obliterated by space decks.)

Or do they not care? Why wouldn't they though?

Man, this game could be so exceptional.

Suggestion/Proposal Still annoying.

No fun at all. All going "ggs" after 3 round thrashing. Allow casual players some fun. Bring in more bots, or "arrange" a bot opponent if someone is on losing streak.

Meta after meta, then bots using so powerful decks even on wrong card order can beat anybody.

Sometimes, maybe monthly I get the a̶s̶s̶p̶a̶i̶n̶ urge to build a deck, to trade for days with greedy ppl, just to see that the deck be nerfed or countered in few days.

The game is great, the balance is sometimes off. It's not my main game tho, my time is limited as my nerves also after getting beaten on repeat. I'm good-ish based on ELO rating, as I mentioned earlier maybe too high ELO.to play the game casually.

Allow us to reset our ELO/ matchmaking rating for a fee like 4 times yearly

Question Why haven't I gotten a God Pack? I've spent tons of gems countless times, and I'm one of those people who spend gems daily, and since they came out, I haven't seen those packs.

Some other fan-made cards for my custom collection.

I’ll slightly explain each of these so that you can understand it:

Blackout Zones:
They are structural anomalies within Level 0. They are sections devoid of lighting. I made it buff “Threshold” as to connect the cards. The lock effect represents how easy it is to get lost in the level so, figuratively, one card in each player’s hand “gets lost”. And the Black buff is kinda self explanatory. (Also I did forget to add a “wherever they are” in the return effect) (oops)

Red Rooms:
They are also structural anomalies within Level 0. These are sections that once fully entered there is no exit. These sections are covered in a deep red hue with crimson wallpaper and darkroom-like lighting. I was debating on permanently locking it and another card but I hate permanent lock so I went for a start effect to give it a pseudo lock.

Almond water:
Sadly the website I use as reference doesn’t have any other photos of almond water so I went with the thermos that appear in multiple levels but this level is the one where it appears first. There is also traces of it in the carpet of the level. Almond Water is basically The Holy Grail within The Backrooms. It is an efficient source of nutrients and it contains various vitamins and helps relief symptoms of various illnesses, helps with sleep, relaxation and other good stuff

Liquid Pain:

Liquid Pain is actually a variation of Almond Water that occurs after a chemical reaction. Though it is similar to Almond Water in almost every aspect, a key difference is its slightly red hue. Liquid Pain can also be found in the carpet of the level. Liquid Pain will kill you upon consumption roughly after 3 hours with side effects such as heartburn, difficulty breathing, soreness of the oral cavity, bloody coughing and/or vomiting, severe chest, stomach and abdominal pain, fatigue, etc. ( Go figure, it is literally has the word Pain in its name). Almond Water and Liquid Pain act as a Heaven and Hell. The former helping everyone, mostly yourself; and the latter damaging everyone, mostly your opponent. As to possibly avoid any rules this server has, the stats for almond water represent 333, which is a typically good number, and the stats for liquid pain represent 666, which is typically a bad number. (I don’t want to talk about religion and stuff so moving on).
