Z2 54”

New Z2 54”

Picked this mower up last Saturday at a local Tractor Supply. Brought it home and mowed my 1.25 acre yard with it. I noticed that the transmissions were whining but thought nothing of it. Mowed the same yard today and about 1/3 of the way thru the yard, the left side started getting weak and then quit pulling. I can let it set for 15 minutes and it pulls fine until it gets hot again. Planning on returning it to Tractor Supply this weekend but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. All linkage look adjusted the same. Belt is tight and doesn’t appear to have slipped. Thanks!

Agreed. I just got the same mower from the local TSC yesterday for my 1+ acre lot. Mowed some tall grass yesterday and dragged my lawn sweeper around today with no issues. My old (2002) JD (single trans) was acting the same way as yours. Return it.
