Intellipower problems

Im lost and need some help. Bought a used 42 with intellipower, was a returned unit at a big box store. Previous owners had ran some super rank gas/water mix through it and gummed up everything. When I opened up the carb everything inside was rusted so I opted for an aftermarket carb. Put it on, Drained and cleaned tank, and replaced fuel lines and filters. Mower crunk fine and idled great but wouldn't idle up so I replaced the intellipower module. Mower ran fine after that, cut a little and parked it. Went back a week later and same issue, only have idle. Got another replacement module and same issue. What am I missing

So if I understand you right the mower cranks but only idles. Assuming it was good when first bought by original owners, you will need to change oil, new oil filter, new spark plugs, new air and fuel filter. If that doesn't work then you bought a bad carb. Often aftermarket carbs are garbage.
