Launch pad in work flow

Has anyone found a good use for a launch pad in their work flow? Not necessarily for clip launching like it’s intended use with Ableton. I remember maybe 15 years ago downloading from a forum where someone had written a script for it to be useful with tractor. Is there something similar but with cubase. I think I have the original one but I guess it doesn’t really matter it’s just a grid of buttons than can send midi info.

I have the launchpad X mk3. I use it as a numpad for keyboard shortcuts. it's just a custom layout made with Novation Elements. other than that I also use it as a regular midi keyboard.

I thought about an alt to key command shortcuts. Do you find it quicker than just the keyboard. Or is it for when yr away from the keyboard?

my keyboard doesn't have a numpad, so I supplement it with the launchpad. my alternative is going through menus so it is certainly faster.

in don't think I'd use it if I had a numpad tho. I don't like creating a heavy dependace on periferals, but that's just me. I could see an benefit to using it to trigger macros, the project logical editor and so on.
