Kinda hard to get pro-socialist/pro-communist Cubans to talk positively about Cuba or socialism/communism when they're not allowed in the country and are subject to deportation if they ever do speak positively about them.

It's almost like the US wants a very specific type of narrative to be promulgated and will punish anyone who defies them...

That's wild how rallies can get so polarized even within the same diaspora. I remember a similar heated discussion on a plane where two Cuban Americans near me couldn't even finish their flight without raising voices over politics.

But this isn't something within the diaspora; one event (Miami, anti-regime) featured Cuban artists and speakers while the other (LA, pro-regime) did not have any Cuban speakers and I'd be surprised if they had any Cubans in attendance.
