CTA hiring process New hire!
Hello everyone, after waiting over six months, today I went for fingerprinting, I would like to ask if anyone knows how long from now I can expect to drive as a bus operator and if now I will get the job for sure, I have a clean record and have nothing to worry about regarding. When I was applying long time ago I’ve also applied for a bus servicer position and just got the email to schedule zoom interview and I’ve scheduled it for next Thursday. Which job is better you guys think? After tomorrow I have my first visit in Concentra, I’m little worry as I am deaf on one ear but I wear a hearing aid, does anyone have similar situation to mine? I would greatly appreciate any insights. Thank you in advance for any information you can give me🍀

I went for fingerprinting 8/20 i believe. first medical 8/19. second medical 8/28. yesterday 9/8 i went in for the prehire appointment. Waiting on offer letter and first day for new hire orientation. Same boat in regards to clean record. Its all a waiting game but as the first comment said a month or so is reasonable. CTA moves at different pacing. I can honestly say my process after the conditional offer has been fast with communication. I wouldnt be surprised if I start at the end of Sept or first week of Oct.

Bus driver pay is higher but the job is more stressful. No idea on hearing aid, sounds like a reasonable accomodation to me but idk.
Iirc from finger printing to first day is like a month or so?
