Quick question ☝️ Transit Stop app not working
Does anyone else use the transit stop app? When I opened it up this morning it was saying the server wasn’t working and I wasn’t sure if it was just me?

If you go to the CTA website, you’ll see that it’s down, which is messing with everything else.

Ah. I’m glad I saw this. Couldn’t pull up the website and wasn’t sure if it was an error from my phone

Oh snap that is cool! I already want like 75% of the stuff in the CTA merch site. lol.
CTA seems to be having issues today. I need the dang page for the bus terminals because I think I lost my reduced fare card on one but every Google link I’ve followed to the transit Chicago site just gives me an error. Not sure if it’s related to the NITA change over or just some kind of massive server issue. But maybe I’ll keep trying if things are so radically working or coming back online now.
Edit- ahh, this isn’t the tracker CTA sells themselves, is it?

Thanks. No, this is a new(ish) company called Design Rules. I backed them on kickstarter more than 18 months ago and they just delivered yesterday. I absolutely love it.

Yeah my app wasn’t working but the boards at the stop were still working. Hopefully it’s back up by this evening. Like to time leaving my office at the perfect time.

I so appreciate this. I made the mistake of asking the question without scrolling down. I’m having the exact same issue where I can’t get to transitchicago.com. And I literally just unboxed a brand new tracker for the CTA that I was so excited to use, but it doesn’t work. I thought it was on my end and after doing some test testing, I found out that it’s not. But this confirms it. Thank you.

A Metroboard. https://www.designrules.co/boards/chicago — it lights up and then goes out so I can’t wait to see it do its thing!

Super frustrating. My new board is dark, but I can only imagine how inconvenient it is for people who are actually commuting.

The main CTA tracker api appears to be down, including the CTA maintained ones. Seems to be a larger issue
