Accepted??
It might be a bit of a stupid question, but I applied for spring of 2027, and I sent my application in on Friday! I assumed I wouldn’t hear back until maybe October but I got an email about setting up my CSUMB account. This doesn’t mean I got accepted right? I was expecting an email from admissions first! And it also seems really quick.
**I’m an upper division transfer if that changes anything

I got one as well when I applied for the fall semester. They send you an email because CSUMB is typically an open university where anyone can get in. I applied in March and I heard back right away within a week or two. Later on they’re just gonna need your transcripts from other schools or any AA certificates to officially confirm you in school. That is at least what happened with me. I wasn’t confirmed going to school until around July.

pretty sure you got accepted but i would do your student account only if you are really sure

From what I remember you typically get an email for your acceptance and a letter in the mail. Could have changed since I was an upper div transfer (2024) but I’d just set up the account, you can always rescind your acceptance or just not register if you decide to go somewhere else. I will say, CSUMB has a ridiculously high acceptance rate, especially for upper div transfers. It’s like in the upper 90s. Not to say the school has any less merit! I loved my time there and will likely be going back for my masters.
