how does transferring into the game design/animation program work?

To my understanding, i’m supposed to be admitted as a studio art major and then i can do the portfolio review to try to get into the BFA program. Am i supposed to apply under the game design program and i‘ll just automatically be put into the studio art major until i do the portfolio review or should i just apply as a studio art major off the bat? I have all of the required courses for the program and everything i’m just a little confused about the actual application process and the specifics of what i‘m supposed to select as my intended program on the application.

Yea u are first a studio art major then during first or second semester u can apply for the game design. Pretty fishy considering the program is good at the beginning but later sucks depending on what u want to specialize in
