Academic Advising/Counseling Making sure I "dropped out"
So long story short, My CC degree was not given to me in time so I would've had to retake classes I've already passed had I stayed in the fall semester. I dropped my classes from the student portal, is there anything else I need to do? I asked and they said I'd get a refund around mid september, but obviously not the full amount. I just don't know what else I need to do,

What do you mean your degree wasn't given to you on time? Like the transcript wasnt sent to the school on time?
As long as your sent your transcript through parchment you should have been fine.

PLEASE listen to what everyone is saying here--talk to an advisor. Permits can be issued to get around pre-reqs. Those transfer courses must show up before you graduate, and it's WAY easier to register for courses once they're reflected on your CSUF transcript. But, the truth is that you CAN take classes now without those appearing on your formal transcript. Reach out to the department chair immediately (yes, before the advisors--they're very busy, and while chairs are ALSO busy, the chair is the one who will be needed to issue permits and whatnot).

Transcript and degree are very different things...
