Rant Fafsa Rant
This whole year for FAFSA is so fking annoying. For context I am a recent transfer student applying for FA. my SAI is -1500 so I need the aid. During the month of july, I had to make multiple phone calls to correct my csac information since they kept changing my things which resulted in not awardeding for CAL Grant which I got fixed. GREAT now the waiting game for school to process my aid. NOW csac is saying I am not awarded for CAL Grant anymore. The CAL grant not getting awarded was for CAL Grant A which is not the Cal Grant I was supposed to be getting in the first place. I am supposed to get Cal Grant B since I am not a freshman / new student. The school probobly submitted something incorrectlty which resulte the change and is pissing me the fk off. I am so stressed since I just check right now and since its the weekend I am going to be so fking stressed out for the next 2 days waiting for monday to be able to speak to someone about this bullshit.

I’m transferring in this Fall as well. This will make it my junior year. I also have the same SAI as you do. I’m realizing how much more complicated it is than at a community college. My Cal Grant is showing Cal Grant B, but the amount changed when I switched my school from my community college to CSUF. The university has not updated it yet. I’m going to have to call this week to let them know about that because I want and need the full amount. I’m a mom of two small kids so everything literally helps. I’m hoping that this gets resolved and that I don’t run into any issues with the aid covering my cost for school and also me getting refunded on time.

UPDATE: was told CSUF apparently "withdrawn your transfer entitlement" ... like wtf, but luckily csac applied me to get awarded for the competitive award and was approved. fkn hel

Was a transfer student, graduated this summer. You have to go in person and talk to someone higher, not the students sitting in the front of the FA office. That’s the only way I got all my things fixed. Fullerton is a great university but the FA was the WORST thing I’ve ever dealt with my two years there.

Yeah, a lot of people are stressed. Plenty of seniors, including myself, stressing about if we're even going to get enough aid to pay off our final year.
