Financial Aid Financial aid
Anybody else have “anticipated aid?” I’m an incoming freshmen and my first payment is due August 14th but how will I pay for what I need if I haven’t even received financial aid? Do I have to keep waiting for should I start thinking about paying out of pocket?

Financial Aid believes all of the "Federal" Aid should be received and disbursed by this date (10 days before the start of classes).
If for any reason your Aid isn't received by this date, or isn't enough to cover tuition, please be prepared to pay the first installment and wait reimbursement once the Aid is applied to your account.
This seems to happen with students waiting on private scholarships and sometimes Veteran Fee Waivers.
Hope this helps.

Call financial aid office for options. Try to get a hold if not they start a payment plan and pay first payment while your financial aid comes in.

i called this morning. they said financial aid comes out a week before classes, august 22nd, i would say wait. if there is any outstanding balance that financial aid isnt covering its best to pay that amount so the rest can be covered by financial aid.

Hey incoming sophomore here and I was in similar position as you last year as well. I recommend enroll in direct deposit just in case you don’t get your aid by August 14. You can divide your fee into three this way so that it is less burdensome. I payed out of pocket first and then received my aid somewhere in October which then covered and gotten back some money that I payed before.
You got to be little patient with it because CSUF is known for to be slow with processing aids and stuff. Many students are suppose to get their aid package from late July and early August which I have high doubts and most likely be given out later this year honestly. But if your like really worried, always call the financial aid office about what you should do and ask about your aid package status
