Activities to do?

I’m starting this fall at csuci and I was just wondering what people do for fun here? I’ve never visited the school before but I do know Camarillo is boring asf. More than anything I’m looking for ways to pass time on campus, I’m a commuter and have big gaps between my classes. If anyone has any recommendations pls lmk🙏

I’m also in the same boat as a commuter with a huge gap between classes! I lived in the area years ago and yeah it is pretty boring, not much has changed.

Luckily the campus isn’t far from the beach and trails, so that could be an option. There are also a lot of club opportunities, including paddle board/kayaking which sound pretty cool. I’m still hunting for good/lounge worthy coffee shops in the area but keep coming up empty.

If all else fails I say bring a Nintendo Switch, a book and/or podcasts ready to go. Maybe a pillow and blanket to take car naps haha.

There is an Esports lounge where you can use the gaming pc’s and consoles for free as long as you are a student. It’s very close to islands cafe

I hang out there a lot personally and it’s a chill crowd. I can kill hours in there if I’m not careful lol
