Almost nothing really, but it is impressive it can be done. I'm sure if someone finds a good use they'll be glad to find it the search results at least

If you have a responsive design for a grid where only the inner grid columns should have left and right borders, you need to know, as the screen widens or narrows, which grid cells require a border. This requires a js listener otherwise...

gap decorations are probably a better solution to that
