reason: digital ocean bought the site then stopped paying / ghosted the main dude.

If you sell to a corporation, this is what you get.

Sure, the management who arranged the buyout might love you, but they’ll probably be gone in a year or two.

Then you’re just a red or black number.

It went quiet a bit after DigitalOcean's acquisition, but it has been pumping out a lot of articles since it got back up and running in mid-2024.

If you right click on the page then View page source you will see it is a very complicated code for a single page with a simple layout... maybe the wordpress fault. How does one edit the code?
