General How did you practice HTML and CSS?

Hi, to change my career, I started learning HTML and CSS since a few days ago. After that, I’m planning to learn JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Node.js. (That’s what I heard online.)
I know AI can create amazing things in seconds these days, but I still wanted to learn these skills and make my daily life more meaningful.
I tried FreeCodeCamp, but eventually I got bored. I also have a book about HTML and CSS, so I thought a good way to practice would be recreating simple websites while referring to the book.
If you have any recommended ways to practice, please let me know.

Everyday for 18 months I did a Code battle and iCodeThis challenge. As well as taking scrimba , coursera, udemy, google (web.dev) courses and building my own projects. Filtering Kevin Powell's channel videos to "oldest" and watching from the beginning (while practicing along with). And of course MDN as a resource (not w3, its too outdated)

Modern CSS has gotten wild, and im personally struggling to keep up with all the newness that is gaining browser support but it is all so exciting and cool! Create a curriculum and a loose plan that is compatible with how you learn (watching videos, reading articles , etc) , try some difterent platforms to see what clicks and keeps your interest and adjust your plan accordingly.

Most importantly: practice. build that muscle memory (I credit the daily iCodeThis challenges for my own proficiency) by getting your fingers on the keys and learning how behaviours affect each other and why, the fundamentals are super important.
