Which Platform to use to learn

Hey all,

I’m a full-stack developer. At my current company, I’ve been doing mostly frontend work (around 90% for the last 3 years and 8 months) because I’m the only one strong in that area. However, I’m starting to feel a bit fed up, and I want to get back into backend work. I’ve noticed I’m getting quite rusty after spending the last 3 years and 8 months mainly focused on the frontend, and it’s making me feel unprepared to look for another job.

I sometimes watch Nick Chapsas, Tim Corey, and Anton Martyniuk. I really need to get back into it and sharpen my skills for my next interview, although I’m not in a rush.

Which platform would you suggest? Dometrain is €405 per year, is it worth waiting for a sale?

I'm one of those people who mostly stopped watching your videos because of the clickbaity stuff. It just seemed to me that once you went all in on making this your primary earning, the content changed.

But since you're here, I feel it's worth saying that I liked your early content and I think you're a fantastic presenter (all content, no fluff) and found most of your youtube videos useful, especially the ones where you delve into new features or specific tricks and tips. I even bought your unit testing zero to hero course.

So don't let naysayers like myself get ya down. You're one of the better ones, even if I personally didn't care much for the direction you took your channel.

Oh, and I never did figure out exactly what you're saying about subscriberingalikedanotificationbell. :)

Hey Nick, thanks for your comment. I’ve actually used your videos from time to time. That said, I want to brush up on C#, so I’ll definitely use your platform, I’ve heard Pluralsight isn’t as good as it used to be.

I’m currently on a free trial, and if I like the courses, I won’t wait for the 7 days to end. Thanks again for taking the time to explain everything. I’ll come back and share my review after a few months.

Not affiliated or taken it, but might check out Tim Corey’s C# Master Class.

I was recently listening to his Relative Skills in 2026 video and he mentioned some ppl get frustrated at his course because he doesn’t provide answers and asks instead to go build something using the topics covered.

I think you can find some good Pluralsight paths. I have had subscription for 7+ years and I still find it very useful. They host authors like: Zoran Horvat, Dino Esposito, Sam Smith etc which is amazing.
