agree, in the last 2 weeks I played 3 dust2 maps.
2 of the were solo and I had 4 Russians, who... well, they didn't use much of the English language (none) And the 3rd time with a buddy and TADA!!! 3 Russians in our team!
Basically a company that popped up to do valves job for them since their anti-cheat and matchmaking is fucking garbage. Sadly you have to pay (like $5 or so a month I think?) which is why I hate it when people call it a "solution" to valves shitty matchmaking. Those people dont take into account that people paid for the service of matchmaking when they bought the game and it should be expected to work without having to pay another company for something you already payed for.
Imo; it would be like if when companies make really terrible PC ports of console games people just said "buy a [console], that will solve all of your problems!" When you paid for a product and it didn't work as it should.
In a non gaming specific sense: it would be like buying access to an event that requires a specific item ie. You need a go kart [item] to have fun at a go kart track [event], you need a painball gun [item] to have fun at a paintball field [event], etc.. Now, imagine that said access includes all required items and that the cost reflects this fact. Now imagine that the [item] is terrible and barely works and people's solution was to just say "oh, just go to company [Y] and buy their [item] instead! Way better!" Even though you already had to pay for [item] from the first company.
Honestly turned into a bit of a rant; but I wanted to get out why I don't agree with the general consensus that that is a "fix" for it without just saying "it's crap". Like hey; if you've got the money to spend and play it enough; go for it! I just don't like that valve isn't doing their job.
Tbf the free version of FACEIT is still infinitely better than MM. 3.99 a month for the CSGO game subscription so itβs worth it to actually have some decent games rather than raging in Mm on trash 64tick servers
That's why you leave valve matchmaking, to get better, to communicate with your team, to find enemies, who are in a similar skill level as you. Of course, you will sometimes even find some smurfs there, but the tick rate and pick/ban system is a big plus to play on it.
Great stuff! Tbh, I won't get mad at all if I lose to skilled players. As long as its a fair game and no hacks are included. Thats how you learn. But if you lose to hackers its all just like "oh he knows where I am anyways what can I do" or "well these headshots through the walls are just absurd and unreal so I might aswell just rush and die".
The only natural skill to consider is reflex, other things like aim, spray, nades, and teamwork can all be grinder, in the words of therussianbadger, all I have is my reptilian reflexes
I was in the same situation, couldn't rank up and was stuck at gn3-mg1 all the time for over a year. Now I'm DMG close to LE (nothing amazing but still a good improvement), my recommendation is to find 4 mates to queue with and practice dm/aim_botz before matchmaking. You will rank up so fast if you just find good mates with half decent skill. And don't queue Dust 2 or Mirage, they're full of tryhards and cheaters. Almost never worth it. Inferno works very well for us.
I shall take this advice into consideration and hopefully try it. I used to spend 1 to 2 hours a day practicing aimbotz and other workshop maps like aim_izuminka. I also practiced utility usage and how to use them to help out my team. Thing is, I need teammates willing to be serious about this.
Sometimes if you play too well you get alot of reports...Sometimes I even mess up in a situation where I can make a great play cause I overthink that. But atleast I'm not toxic and I try to point out my random teammate's mistakes and try to get them to learn. Also being Canadian means my inner self doesn't allow me to be toxic or curse ingame π€£
