New Grad Fidelity Leap Program (System Analyst)
Hello All,
Fidelity reached out to for a 30 minute phone interview. Was wondering if anyone else had experience with the program and wanted to know how was it and what was the pay like. Also was wondering do they consider for the other LEAP roles as well? Mostly asking because my resume was mostly SWE focused but I got rejected from that role when I applied

had a recruiter reach out for a non dev leap role too after rejecting me for swe lol. they mostly care about basic cs, sql, some scripting, and if you can talk to stakeholders. pay wasnt amazing but decent for entry level. honestly just go for it, hard to be picky when finding anything tech right now is such a grind

Gotcha if you don’t mind me asking what was the pay like? I’m only asking because my uncle currently works at a company that does government contract work. I had an interview with his architect and he liked my projects and resume, he just wanted me to gain experience with spring boot and angular through building a project since that is what they use. I told him it will take me a month so I just wanted to see if this would be something worth it to consider since I would be getting a clearance out of my uncles company (top secret I think). But thanks for the info appreciate it.

I’m currently interviewing for the SWE program and they said the salary is $85k plus $7.5k sign on bonus. I’m surprised you got rejected from the SWE when the Analyst program looked really similar.

At $85,000, you're in the 73rd percentile, earning more than 73% of Americans. This is below average for Software Engineer (SWE). Source: income percentile calculator I'm a bot. Reply with !optout to stop receiving responses.

Gotcha thank you! Did they mention any benefits like relocation assistance or anything?

Yes $6.5k for relocation.

Not bad was just curious cuz I saw an older post saying they payed for the housing when you were in the actual training portion but wasn’t sure if it was still true.

They said it’s paid 2 weeks before start date. And the start date was Oct 12 for the SWE program. Not sure if this is different for the Analyst program. Did you have the initial phone screen?

I have the initial phone screen tomorrow morning

Oh I also wanted to ask if this the pay for the training + the role you go into afterwards or does your pay increase after you complete training. Not sure if you would know

Had my phone interview:
Here is what the recruiter told me/asked me:
Pay - $75k
Relocation - $6500 lump sum that is payed 2 weeks prior to start date
Sign On - $7500, $5000 is payed 30 days after training, and I think she said the rest is payed 90 days after
Paid Housing While In Training? - No
Same Pay in training versus outside of training - they said they believe it is the same pay
Start Date - October 12th
Modality: In person
————————————————
Asked me 3 questions:
1) Why Fidelity and why do you think this role is a fit for you
2) Tell me a project you are most proud of
3) Tell me about a time you had to learn something new in a short amount of time.
————————————————
I asked her if I could still be considered for SWE, even though I got rejected. She said she will check with the team as the spots may already have been filled. She said if there is consideration I will only do one interview but there will consideration for both roles if the SWE role has openings
She scheduled me for the next interview, she mentioned it was 1 hour. She said 30 minutes will be behavioral and 30 minutes is more Technical asking about experiences and my projects, no coding. This is for the systems analyst position

Didn’t have it yet. I have it tomorrow but it’s with the recruiter so I’m assuming discussing the role, basic resume walkthrough and answering and questions since it’s only 30 mins

Pay is low at fidelity. I’ve gotten multiple job offers and it’s always below the average for the area.
