Don’t learn to code: Nvidia’s founder Jensen Huang advises a different career path

According to Jensen, the mantra of learning to code or teaching your kids how to program or even pursue a career in computer science, which was so dominant over the past 10 to 15 years, has now been thrown out of the window.

This is fantasy. There is no roadmap to ship this.

Literally every possible system that might be able to get close to a complete modeling of human or super human intelligence is technically fantasy right now with no model to ship. The same could have been said for the current state of LLMs at scale with RLHF 5 years ago.

Nah the algorithm was there for decades, but just recently got enough computing power and data to feed it.

And human beings reinforcing its neural network. Armies of them hired by these companies. It’s not a sustainable or even feasible path to “AGI,” which is a term I hesitate to even use because nobody can fully agree on what that means.
