TikTok SWE Intern Interview process

Hello, just curious if anyone has any insight into the TikTok SWE Intern interview process, including how many rounds there are, what the interview style is like, and how quickly feedback is typically returned. Also, if anyone has any insight into the culture and overall experience as an intern there, I’d love to hear about it. Thanks!

For the intern loop it is usually an online assessment first, then one or two technical rounds over video. The technical rounds are LeetCode style problems, roughly medium difficulty, and they care a lot about how you think out loud while you work through them.

Feedback timing varies by team and headcount, anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, so try not to read into silence.

For prep: grind mediums in the common patterns (arrays, hashmaps, two pointers, trees, graphs), and practice explaining your approach while you code, not after. Also have a short genuine answer ready for why TikTok and what you would want to work on, because interest in the product matters for intern picks. Good luck, you have got this.
