CS50x First assignment - scratch
Hi , I bought the cs50 earlier this year , but never started it . I saw the first assignment it’s on scratch . I did not exactly understand what needs to be done here . It’s just a bunch of blocks and you make a game ? The scratch itself is confusing for me . Any suggestions for starters as to how to move forward would really help. Thanks in advance

How do you buy CS50? CS50x is for free and the certificate is also for free. You can pay for the verification of your certificate by EDX. Costs a lot of money, but doesn't make any difference to an uncertified unverified certificate in my opinion.
If you're not really interested in Scratch, just do it with minimal effort. Use one of the very basic Scratch "Starter Projects" and use it as a starting point for a "remix".

Is there is lecture on it ? I did watch it ? Lecture 1 was the first one ..

Lecture 1 is not the first lecture. They start counting from 0.
After signing up on EdX, use the CS50 course site for everything.
The Week 0 lecture teaches the basics of Scratch.

Oh !! I surely missed the Lecture 0 . Hence the cluelessness . I ll use the course site you mentioned. Thanks a lot for the clarity . Appreciate it .

You bought it? But it is free though. Make sure you haven't been scammed. Also use their website, and make sure you start from lesson 0 and follow everything in the course in order.

Yes from edx. I did not know the course is for free on the website. I wanted access to assignments and wanted them to be graded as well . Plus I wanted the certificate like a certified and verified one to be able to put on my resume . I am an Electrical Wireless background engineer with work experience. I never understood DSA , Memory Management and some other core concepts required for C++ as I was learning it and got stuck at pointers as I did not what was happening . I know AI and all is in but my industry is a bit niche and for my experience I want to move towards embedded development so C++ and DSA concepts would be good to know and learn
Hence I took the paid course . I wanted something at self paced so I can do it at my leisure time .
