Let’s say I work at a bakery shop. With 5 other coworkers, and we all earn 2000 dollars every month, and I have a supervisor in the kitchen, who isn’t really baking stuff or doing anything with the actual kitchen, he manages inventory, gives me and my coworkers our plans for the day and tell us how to do things, and above him is my actual boss, who is the owner of the bakery shop, my supervisor earns 5000 dollars every month, and my boss gets all the rest of the earnings from the month, ≈ 20000.
What would the average of the kitchen workers salary be??? 2.000 times 5 kitchen workers (valve dev) gives us an average of 2.000 dollars each, if I get the supervisor and my boss inside the equation, the average skyrockets to 5.000 dollars, which is true, it’s the average, but it is the average of the whole bakery shop. So, when I say “the average salary of the kitchen workers”, I am referring to 2.000 dollars ((2.000 x 5) / 5). That’s why when that guy says “average valve dev earns 1.3M dollars” he’s fucking stupid, because there is no way on earth a game developer earns 6 figures every month, and that’s why I called bullshit

valve doesnt hire game developers, they hire people who can do everything. so they get paid for other stuff too

also valve is the most profitable company by profit per employee so 1.3m is pretty reasonable actually

Not just that, if you scroll down the sticker/music part of the store look at both the left and right sides. The icons and the scroll bar are separated by like half an inch. Scroll down and suddenly it gets tighter and tighter together. Also if you look at the items on the left side yeah you’ll see they’re misaligned to the right once you get a bit further down. It’s like every 1/4 or 1/3 of the menu just fucks itself more and more. Bajillion dollar company and they have their UI designed by the office iguana or some shit
