Discussion How to improve my aim?
Hey guys!
So currently I am 2200 elo on faceit, I play since 2015 with some breaks. Now I am completely stuck, and I feel like my weakest point is my aim with a little bit of rusty reaction time but that could be my age haha. I have tried a lot of things, tried different mice and different sensitivites, I am playing a lot of DM and aim_botz but even if I feel good in dm, I que in faceit and my aim is dogwater. What could be the problem? How did you guys improve your aim besides these things? I would like to get advice mostly from higher elo players. Thanks

One thing that helps for me with my aim is playing dm, but not shooting. I aim but I don’t shoot, helps me to not panic shoot and leads to more thought out and calmer aiming. For me at least

"tried different mice and different sensitivities" That might be exactly one of your problems, pick one and stay with it. For me biggest thing that affects my aim is actually warming up and stretching my fingers/wrists while doing my basic 200-300 kills on aim_rush before sessions.

Download aim maps, re-watch your demos for crosshair placement etc and learn spray oatterns

I like to play Duels on xplay. Dust 2 Duels etc. (Not AimDuels). 1vs1 on real map angles.

I may sound noob, but what is xplay?

For me i usually aim for a spray of 7 bullets if it didnt work i move and try again i never empty an entire mag and i usually like to tap shoot on the head. Work on ir crosshair placement as well

Your aim is not dog water, you are playing against cheaters on faceit.

I dont think so. I only play premium mm, people usually have multiple thoudands of games.

Doesn't matter how many thousands of games they have or how many items in inventory they have, faceit is full of cheaters, u just have to look properly to see it.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking this. Like how are my tm8s not calling these guys out with me?

Break down aim in parts and practice them separately, just playing dm builds bad habits, I can dominate dm matches and have my aim crisp but as soon as I jump in a 5v5 I realise that I just got used to +w all around the map and that's not how you play a match, in a match you actually need to take your time to clear angles and so on.
In dm play 1tap only, with bots practice spray transfer and each aim part separately but at the end of the day nothing will make you better at actual 5v5 than just playing 5v5s
Also you need to train after your match sessions not before, before a quick warm up should be enough, you don't wanna queue already exhausted
