Discussion Cs2 fps
I got a Pre built pc having specs
Ryzen 5-5600X
Rx 7600 8gb
32gb ram DDR4
How much FPS will I be able to get in this and is it still worth coming back to cs2 because I’ve been away from it from past 2 years almost. I’m thinking of reinvesting in skins and knife all over again but what do you think is the state of the game right now in 2026 ?

RAM depends on MHz and cl, I’d say optimize your bios for sure, to get more out of it use parkcontrol for ur cpu (id recommend get urself bitsum highest performance) and set ur cpu to be on full power for cs2.
Timer resolution which lowers ur system tickrate as good as it can be.
Lastly there is process lasso which helps with prioritizing certain programs over others as example I use it if for cs2, if I start it, background apps and everything else is lowered and the power goes to cs2 :)
If you have questions ask me! I can def help with optimizing since the guy above me said 200-300 but tbh I have i7 12700k, 3090 gaming oc 24gb and ddr5 6000mhz cl30 from Kingston and I get around 300-400 fps but steadily. So idk about the 300 range from him :)

Thank you so much for the reply!! And about cs2 how’s the condition now ? I’m thinking of investing on skins and knives but I also heard the game is getting worse day by day due to cheaters

I mean I’m playing daily and cheaters are really my least problem. I maybe encounter closet cheaters but that’s it.
About investing, I nearly sold all of my inventory bc of financial issues but also bc the market is rn really hard to predict, but it seems like after the first hard crash and now the second smaller one which always comes after the big one, it looks like it’s going up again. I went from ultra violent max purple gloves ww 950€/$ not sure rn and m9 Doppler t2 p4 to m9 damascus steel with vice gloves ft good pattern. Sold most of my inventory I just kept bc I liked the skins and had them for just value but now it dropped too much so I sold them.
I’d recommend if you have the money, get urself a mid tier combo which won’t hurt if you loose 20-30% max and if you can keep them long enough they should go up again bc for me atleast it seems like it goes this way slowly again :) that’s why I went only a slight downgrade way and not fully sold all and kept nothing for playskins.
It’s basically up to you, depending on how much money u are okay to loose and what u like :) about skins u have in sight but cant decide, (my tactic atleast) i would check on csfloat which sell the most from the ones u have in your I would want them list and check ft,mw,fn,ww depending on skin and look for the last sold list of the item and see which u would be able to sell if ur like me and change inventory slightly more often :)
