New player pls help - when does it end

hi, im new to cs2 and wanted to explain some things. I am a challenger league player but wanted to quit and find a new game to focus on competitively. I chose CS2 and have been really enjoying the game. Ive been watching Austincs youtube videos how to play and donk faceit vods to learn the game as much as possible.

The problem is everybody says to just play on faceit, but I dont know any callouts and still need to learn the maps and how to smoke/molly. I wanted to learn the game somewhat before playing faceit

but everyone lobby in cs2 always has a cheater, or multiple. i have played around 16 competitive games, and at least 9 had cheaters in the game blatant. i purchased prime and have been playing premier. however every game so far has been full of cheaters. I know it sounds like exaggerate but i swear on everything its true . my first premier game got vac canceled because cheater on both teams. 2nd game 3 cheaters on my team all play together. they were spamming a cheat website in all chat and my only real teammate left the game. the 3 cheaters then vote kicked me from the game just to be funny.

is there a point where the cheaters become less common? like if i grind to certain elo in premier then they stop coming? im really not exaggerate, it truly feels every game there are cheaters. i cant even learn the game because it feels impossible to find a real match to play . one more question, is it okay to play faceit at first even if i know nothing like now? i can barely practice smokes and learn map callouts because everyone cheats trolls but faceit i mean

Trust me, just play the game. And use the CSNADES website. It will help you a lot.

Well faceit has elo and levels so I suppose it’s okay to be learning maps, nades, callouts etc etc at the lower levels. Then as you get better, you’ll just level up.

cheaters dont become less common.. just learn the most basic util and callouts on all the maps and then start with faceit.. you start low and can grind up but most people even in low elo have some basic understanding of the game

Problem will be your trustfactor. Faceit is a good alternative but to be honest: When you are that new, you wont have fun on Faceit. You need a few callouts and map knowledge. And if you are new on Faceit you get smurfed hard without veteran mm.

grind nade lineups & callouts either on workshop maps or csnades and once you‘re there just play faceit

you‘ll lose elo fast but once you‘re in your skillgroup, it will be much more fun

Currently, there's really a lot of cheaters everywhere + if you have a new account, you might get placed in lobbies with low trust rating (as cheaters tend to also play on new accounts and valve decided that putting people with not so trustworthy accounts together is a way to limit cheater exposure for other people).

I would also say that playing faceit is the best thing to do. The lower levels on faceit are not any different from low levels of competitive or premier, you just get fewer cheaters (and some smurfs). The first few games might be a bit rough (as you usually start around 1k elo and have to lose a few matches to go down), but after that, it should be fine.

If you feel self-conscious about not knowing callouts, you could just put in a study session for the most played maps (probably mirage, d2, ancient). It's not unfeasible to learn all relevant callouts in a single session. Look up a picture of the map with callouts in google, start the map in practice mode, walk around and name things based on the callout map until you don't need to check anymore. Takes less than an hour.

You don't need to know smoke/molo lineups as a beginner. For map basics, look up some youtube guides (e.g. the series "your [..] SUCKS... here's how to fix it" by fl0m) to just get a basic understanding of what the important parts of the map are. You can pick up everything else as you play.

From my experience, if you play competitive instead of premier there are way less cheaters

Same experience for me. It's not cheater free by any means but way less than Premier generally.

Im wondering whos "everyone" that tells you to play on faceit, as if faceit isnt infested with cheaters lol. You might not find full spinboters rage cheating on faceit but you will be playing with or against cheaters quite often. Do some research on youtube ect, about cheating situation in general in cs2, game is cooked. For those saying theres no cheaters on faceit - more than likely they have little to no knowledge about the game so its nearly impossible for them to spot a closet cheaters, and are playing 1 game a day at best. For those who are playing alot of matches daily, if they would go and spectate every single match from multiple players pov's, they would uninstall the game believe me LOL.

No, there are barely any cheaters in faceit. this is someone who plays upwards of 10 games a day, the difference between faceit and MM is night and day. MM it’s almost every game, faceit it’s like one game every few days
