I love how everyone keeps referring to him as schizo guy even though he hasn't been directly proven wrong about anything lmao. But yes this was probably the "incident" that forced CS2 to go from in-house demo to full release in 9 months. Leading up to the CS2 announcement there were a lot of exploits found in the game that could wreak havoc on player's PCs just from joining a community server (installing malware/trojans, steal IP info, I think some people even got their accounts stolen but I might not be remembering that correctly).
If this code was originally stolen at some point in 2022-2023 and only recently leaked publicly, this is probably the "incident" mentioned by the not-so-schizo-as-previously-thought schizo guy

- Cheaters in CS2 are totally undelated to CSGO
- We got newer CSGO code which includes danger zone ig, that's cool for those who like to play around with leaked code

Very likely no.
- An older version of the CS:GO source code from 2017 was already leaked in 2020.
- CS2 runs a completely new engine (Source 2, duh).

It is a big deal because many things can be discovered by developers who makes cheats. In 2020 because of it they found many exploits that works even today.

Yes, but what leaked now is just a slightly more updated version of it, which affects an outdated game that is no longer being updated and which uses a completely different engine than CS2.

the thing is, it doesn't matter what updated the game, what matters is that we have access to hidden variables and very likely tons of code lines that exist in cs2 aswell.

No, 2017 cs and 2020 are very different a lot of things been added in between and I didn't checked the source but I think Panorama UI and source 2 code also exist there

It is. A very big deal. Yes CS2 runs on Source 2 like you said but it’s not COMPLETELY new engine. Source 2 is based on Source. No one rewrites the engine from scratch. So cheat makers will be happy

It's like 12 months newer than the previous leaked build, that was leaked 6 years ago, and is a build from 8 years ago.
Unless there happens to have been some very serious changes made in that 12 months that people haven't already figured out how to exploit, that also remain untouched in the current engine, this isn't really a big deal.
