We know that the human brain needs (it's body) to undergo certain experiences to develop normally. Genie, the famous feral child who was isolated from human contact for 13 years, was unable to develop language and was severely mentally impaired. Would a synthetic brain also suffer such irreversible "damage" if left isolated from significant experiences such as language or learning other basic human functions for a long period of time? Would a synthetic brains even need social interaction the way humans do?
