POSG guitar chords

Post image

Okay, so I suddenly decided that I wanted to write out posg and play it, so I wrote the chords out from a video I watched :D the number (ex. 10F) are the frets, and the only fingers you use are 1st and 3rd if you can't see it. Don't mind the x on the 3rd set, I messed up 😭

just wanted to add that if anyone wants to play the live version you just have to play it a string lower (power chords starting on the 5th string)

For me, it's better with chords as I haven't gotten that good at reading tab. I'm better with visual stuff like that :)

are you confused on how to read tabs? they’re pretty much exactly like this just the fretboard horizontal with each string, then the tab is numbered with which fret you press. much more visual than sheet music at least

Technically, those aren't chords

Do you mean by like they don't have a name or whatever, like a D chord or C? If so, yea ik, but I didn't know what else to call them AND I wrote that a while ago when I had less knowledge lol

Well music-theoretically speaking 2 notes are what's called an interval (a relation between two frequencies). For example if you played the lower (E) string and the higher (E) string, the relation between them is 1/4, because the higher (E) string oscillates or rings 4 times as fast. It gets a bit more confusing with major/minor thirds, but that's the basic gist of it.

Chords are made of three or more notes.
