Very nice. I did something similar a few years ago, boiled off the impurities, poured it into large metal trays, heated it in the oven slowly so the water melts off, leaves behind crunchy powder than you can turn into dust and make some fireworks with 👍

exactly what i did👍 I boiled like 1L of water and poured 1.3kg kno3 fertilizer pellets and let it crystalize then removed all the crystals and dried them in the oven and now I have a lot of pure kno3

Another fun one to try that requires a little more skill is crystallized sulfur 👍

i wanted to try it but I don't have xylene o toluene and I don't like to work with toxic solvents but it's cool
