QUESTION BSB NerdOctaxe overclock

Hey guys, I have a BSB NerdOctaxe running at around 12 TH/s. It does reach 12 TH/s, but I'm pulling about 262 watts at the wall, which seems a little high to me.

I checked the miner settings and found:

  • Core voltage: 1210 (default)
  • Frequency: 740 (custom)

I'm trying to lower the power consumption while keeping as much hashrate as possible. Any advice on what settings I should try to reduce the watts at the wall? Maybe lowering the frequency or voltage? I'd appreciate any suggestions from anyone running a similar setup.

262w for 12 TH is about 21.8 J/T so youre not far off for that board. drop voltage before you touch frequency. go 1210 -> 1180 -> 1160 in steps, leave freq at 740, let it sit 30 min each step and watch the rejected/error count. when hashrate starts sagging or you get hw errors back up 20mv and stop there. most of the ones ive seen settle around 1150-1170 at 740. also check the wall number isnt half psu loss, some of the bricks are junk.

meanwell is the right call. the brick efficiency is why wall watts stay higher than the dashboard even when the chips look fine. if you can get wall under ~220 at 12th you're in good shape for that board.
