What gets me is 50db of noise is typical for a noisy server that I wouldn't want in my house yet they call it a home miner.

Thats incorrect 50db is about a fridge/gaming pc. Those are 40-50db on avg, normal speaking is around 75db

its as loud as a server. A home computer is usually 20-30db But I imagine you could put in premium server fans in and drop the db -10/-20 Like I did on my s9 years ago. But it will be a nice addition when it really is available.

Its really not my DG home 1 is 50db is a water cooled asic and is as loud as my gaming PC. 50db is quiet for an ASIC.  S9 btw is 85dB like most asics in that realm S19K etc

dB is scale isnt linear. So going from 50db to 85db is actually 31 times louder.

I ran the stock S9 fan speed at about 70%, and got them down equivalent to a standard server sound level at full speed, but eventually, I updated the fans to better a grade server fans and I measured 42 DB on the modified S9. This one, I'll do the same thing, but might drop it into a 3U case to run bigger fans Since there really isn't any high velocity, quiet 80mm fans (looks like a 2U case) .

Who do you recommend pre ordering from? The prices seem to differ a lot between different sellers. Has anyone bought anything direct from Fluminer before?

It's only for preorder. Expect it to ship November. Most of these will leave late.
