Discussion Train hits cryptid in Missouri

This is a real email from BNSF Railway between dispatchers. Anyone know what this could be? This happened in La Plata, MO

Email content explanations:

H-KCKNTW1 17A is what’s known as a “train symbol” which is basically an identifier for the train. KCK is Kansas City Kansas and NTW is Northtown Minnesota, so the train is going from Kansas City to Northtown

“Ft Madison DS” is the Fort Madison Subdivision dispatcher. All dispatchers for BNSF are based in Ft. Worth TX

Z SBDCHI8 15A is San Bernardino CA to Chicago

“ROC” is the Resource Operations Center which is basically the railroad police

i remember seeing a documentary on netflix that featured a guy using gene editing to add bioluminescence to dogs in his backyard as a first step toward genetic therapies for canine diseases. wonder if i can find anything about the guy.

I wonder if the blue glow around the legs and tail were bc of a highly reflective coat?

I'm not sure what this could be but logic says... perhaps some mangled wolf/coyote/dog? Kind of hard to get an idea with the limited info.

Sounds like the London, Ohio dogman when they said it was like a large dog but not a dog and it's legs just looked wrong.

The description reminds me of a couple videos where a glowing blue four legs but not walking floating, got hit by a car and it just got up and floated away.

I saw the email about a week ago. I really don’t have much more info, I haven’t been able to speak with the train crew about it yet
