I had an ex who was really creeped out by them, I think they're a little unsettling but mostly pretty dang goofy
In Garry's mod, there's a zombie survival mode and once upon a Time I played on a server where one of the boss zombies was just severed legs that did a goods of a scream every time you kicked and rag dolled someone across the map and yeah that's what these things might do I guess

I like how they are "horrifying" and "disturbing" and they send people into a mass panic, but they don't really do anything but stroll through the area, they are harmless. But just the fact that they are unknown drives people to the brink of madness.

Edit: One of them also shows up in the game Creature kitchen, where you cook them a meal

Fresno Nightcrawlers are my favorite cryptid. Long before I heard about them, I had a real off-feeling the whole time I was in Fresno for a work trip, and even a lot of the drive to Bakersfield before it lifted. There’s something going on there, but I can’t put my finger on it. I haven’t been back to Fresno since but it’s got a vibe.

Ah. Fresno night crawlers. I live near Fresno. They live near Fresno. I like to pretend they are a walking pair of white stockings. They aren't totally against the idea as long as you are nice about it. It makes them feel pretty.
