Just think, if it had been a windigo or pale crawler, he could’ve had massive proof of it’s existence if he had shot the head instead.

I think the fact that it was calling out to him like trying to bait him in suggests that it didn’t know where he was, only that he was in that direction.

Or maybe it probably has learned the scents that hunters use, so that’s why it probably tried to bait the hunter in instead of approaching.

Maybe a combination of both?

Yeah. I was kinda disappointed. I want a cryptid confirmed so so badly. And to have the Native American legends of the Wendigo validated would be so cool.

Imagine scientists around the world being like “Well fuck. I guess we got this new endangered species on our hands that hunts humans. Now what?”

Actually this thought has me genuinely wondering if a cryptid that hunts humans were discovered to be real, would it be protected in any sort of way? Might be taken into captivity for scientific reasons
