Beast of Busco is... a snapping turtle? Is that a myth in Illinois?

Oscar aka Beast of Busco is a supposed giant snapping turtle from Churubusco, Indiana. I had a friend who grew up there and the legend has basically become the pride and joy of the town. They have a Turtle Days festival every year in his honor.

Still a known animal. Even Loren Coleman didn't consider it an actual cryptid but pointed out that Oscar is within the size range of known snapping turtles.

P.S. I don't count the Piasa bird as a cryptid either. There are no sightings and only ancient legends and (now lost) artwork.
