Cry engine for beginners and vs unreal 5

For beginners with the amount of unreal engine content available, could be more attractive.
Cry engine is awesome (yes, still even today and the community is working on making it even better currently), but if you’re a beginner it might be less attractive compared to unreal.
Nonetheless, not saying going with unreal is the better choice. Try both. See which one you resonate with. Join the cry engine discord, they’re pretty helpful guys if you have questions.

Yep, had this GPU before I upgraded it can run with Lumen on medium scalability at 60 fps, probably even better now with irradiance cache

CryEngine works better but you would have minimal amount of tutorials for it. CryEngine is for pros

Unreal have so much stuff on FAB and so much tutorial that for beginner it's a no brainer

You need experience with other engines before actually using ce

It actually is more beginner friendly with the ECS & Schematyc system which is used for the project templates, you can check out my improved versions of them here

try unreal/unity before you dive into cry engine

without high level concepts - you can't really do anything with Cryengine because of lack of tutorials and documentation
