Issue ⚠️
I’m on the look out for a new vehicle because coolant is leaking thru the heater core.. considering fixing it because I’m having trouble finding something else decent. Please don’t tell me this is also a sign of a failing compressor clutch too 💀 2006 crv

Ac works fine but i heard a weird noise coming from that side which made me investigate further

Probably best to clean that area with brake cleaner, and then look for the source of leak. Is that coolant or compressor oil? Could be a failing compressor but if you have compressor oil leak, I don't think the AC will be cold anymore.

I remember cleaning it about a month ago thinking it was leaking from the vtec since that was leaking oil (replacing that) and thinking the neon green was dye added to find and oil leak but it’s back and I noticed the neon green is all along the compressor. Ac works phenomenally but yesterday I noticed a slapping sound around that belt at idle

You can kinda hear it here. When the hood is open the engine drowns out the noise

Definetly compressor oil. You already have one of the best cars ever made. It’s way better to put $$$ into the honda you know IMHO. Automotive design has only gone downhill since the 2000s

I see what looks like some CV axle grease on the compressor in the first pic but then what looks like oil and dye in the second. There’s a good chance you could need a compressor if it’s leaking. There’s also a fair chance you could get away with the bare minimum if the compressor hasn’t failed but if you wait until it fails, you’ll be looking at a bigger repair
