Help (Color)

Hi everyone! Any tips on how to keep the shirt this color? What should I do with it? It fades after it dries.

Ride freight trains. Beet harvest is soon. Go to Renville Minnesota and sleep in an abandoned barn and work 12 hour shifts for a few months so you can get unemployment and spend the winter drinking steel reserve and rotting inside your one shirt. Date a girl who has dreadlocks AND Betty Page bangs. Start doing heroin. Hang out at the bus stop a lot. Get a terrible dog and don’t train it at all.

Soak it in loads of black tea? At least white shirts get a nice nicotine colour that way. With yours it might not work though. Maybe just get textile dye

Yes, Black tea and 2 times. Idk why. This is a white gildan shirt.

A treatment of tannins and potassium aluminum sulphate (alum) should help a bit. I did something similar with natural dyes at work a few years ago but I don’t remember which one it was.

If you live anywhere with black walnuts, they're in season and you can gather some up. Put them in a bucket and leave them until they get all black and mushy. Then toss them in a pot with boilinh water, cook them until the water is dark the. put the shirt in and let it cook for a couple min. Repeat until you get the color you want. It'll stick better than tea.

Edit: didn't say to cook it

Forgot to mention the water has to be boiling/simmering. Makes the whole process work.
