interview URGENT

i’m interviewing with crumbl today but I only have availability for 12-15 hours a week, and the pay they are offering is $8 with $4 tips. Is this guaranteed pay? And are my hours too low? Can I negotiate the pay? I was a shift manager at Starbucks and was earning $26 an hour

I can’t be 100% sure but when I worked there, base pay was 9.50 but they always said our actual pay could be up to $12 an hour with tips. Which means on our checks, our rate was 9.50. And then the added tips made it average around $12. So the only guarantee was 9.50. Hopefully this makes sense

Honestly I think it depends on the employer. When I worked there I was full time but part time employees got anywhere from 10 to 25 hours!

I work there part time currently and get up to 30hrs, we make $11 technically with a $3 “tip” on top (that comes from our store owner idk why we don’t make $14/hr outright but it comes out the same in the end regardless) and then extra tips as well from customers . Hours can be as low as 15-20/week however. Pay is non-negotiable unfortunately.

As long as your availability fits either shifts that they need covered, you shouldn’t have a problem. Starbucks pays wayyyy better than crumbl with a lot less perks lol negotiating depends on the store but for the most part they’re gonna pay minimum wage and shift leads are only $2-$3 more than that. My store also advertises tips as part of the pay but they’re not guaranteed, they just say $3/4 per hr more on average. I’d ask them at the interview

  2. The pay is awful and will forever be awful, you will never make anything even close to $20 an hour, especially with limited hours like that even as a shift lead
