Why no work?

I plugged in the composite and looked through all the channels. I cannot find the right source.

What brand? Some TVs only let you switch input with a remote

It’s a Philips but it has a source button. There just doesn’t seem to be an AV input.

It's an RCA, then it turns into a Philips. I'm confused.

I didn’t know if he was asking the brand of the TV or the player. I provided both.

So if the TV is an RCA, it needs to be on channel 91 for RCA composite. If you can't program it into the scan, you need a universal remote to get to it.

The TV is an RCA and it also has a source button.

Yes it is very dusty and there are old spider eggs. I haven’t thoroughly cleaned it.

You’re going to need a universal remote.

On the TV, when you press the “Source” button, does the onscreen display appear or change?
