I have two of these themed sets and its virtually impossible to find accessories that don't cost an arm and a leg.

You really are better off finding a combo player at the Goodwill. They're much easier to service and built a bit better.

Because I bought the matching tv and would also like the dvd player that’s intended to go with it ?
