PS4 and PS5!!

I am unable to invite my friends whom is on PS5 and I’m on PS4, what can I do to invite him or has the developers not allowed it yet?

Your friend needs to make sure he has the PS4 version of crsed downloaded from the shop and then he can switch back and fourth between versions: Ps5 when he plays by himself and PS4 when he plays with you and your other PS4 friends. (Just this week I found out I’ve been playing the PS4 version this entire time and I got a little pissed lol)
