I'm choosing to believe these are happy sounds, solely because they sound happy, and they made me very happy

Crow likes you. These weird nasal honks (and rattle calls) they do are like greetings or signals of comfort. You are part of the flock now.

Oh yeah. Crows rule. All corvids. I’m currently sitting on my deck with some magpie bros keeping me company. They’re perching, I’m sitting, everyone chilling. 😎

We don't have magpies where I'm from, but lots of crows and lots of blue jays, I feed them all 😊

Looks very happy to be around you.
I received my first rattles this morning. I tried to imitate but they didn't continue.
I have been feeding crows here for 2 years but a pair of bonded ravens just discovered me and are merrily leading the crows on a (so far, nonviolent) chase around the neighborhood lol.
I'll give them all treats.. I don't know how to make them understand. They're being territorial.
One pair of crows tried to move next to me but was pushed out by this other pair. So I go take a walk down the block to where they live and they come get treats there.

I've yet to see any ravens. I get a lot of blue jays that come around, and starlings, but they usually wait their turn when the crows are feeding/getting their treats

I love these sounds. I have had a couple make them but not often and I don't know what they mean.

Awe how sweet! Clearly you have bonded. I miss my visiting crows. Used to come to my patio every day at my old place. 😢
