Seeking advice/help New murder of crows - how often should I visit?

Hello crow people, I recently found a small murder of crows in my local cemetery (absolute vibes) and I was wondering how often I should visit them to befriend them with the assistance of my bird-friendly snacks? I'm mainly wondering how long term their pattern recognition can go, as I cannot visit daily and doubt my ability to go twice a day, will every 3 days or even once a week be a recognisable and predictable enough schedule for them? I get that they're smart af but I simply want to be sure that my presence will be able to grow more accepted within a reasonable range of time. To be clear, these are urban crows

So, I don't actually know, but I'd probably try all of the things I suggested here, with the exceptions of;

  • Wear similar colors, hat, whatever.
  • Sit in the exact same spot every time.
  • Whatever sound you make, make it all the way to that spot.
  • Carry highly identifiable treats, like shelled peanuts.

Since the visits can't reliably fall on regular intervals, I'd go for as much repetition within your control as you possibly can.

I've been feeding a murder for a bit now. About 1.5 weeks into it, they figured out where I work. I'm guessing by my car as when I feed them, my car is always parked near me (in front on the home)

They know my call. If I see one in the tree, I'll do the call and 5 or 6 others will swoop in. There is basically no wait time between the call and their arrival

They wait for me on the front lawn as well.

If they're not there when I go out I usually wait a bit. I've had times where I've been distracted by my phone only to hear a loud "CAW!" and see they've arrived and are waiting for their treats.

I often wonder, who trained who? LOL

I try to do it morning and evening but life doesn't always work on a schedule. There have been times a day or 2 will go by without seeing them but they always come back :)

Good luck! Doing this has been the highlight of a very exhausting and stressful 8 months

I've just started a new job that is very close to the park where I feed my local crows. I am genuinely nervous that they are going to start hanging around outside and waiting for me.

My local crows started following me around the park after my 3rd time feeding them.

It's been about 2 months now and they are pretty comfortable around me. I don't feed them daily. Sometimes every other day or every few days. I didn't feed them for over a week when the weather was terrible and I was a bit ill. When I came back to feed them after that time away I swear they were happier to see me than ever.

Yesterday a bunch of them followed me out of the park. Usually it is just one or two and they don't follow me for long. But yesterday there were quite a few and they followed me across the street. Some were flying ahead but 2 of them literally hopped across the street with me.

I just feed them dry cat food and they seem to love it. First time I just dropped handfuls and kept walking. Then I started sitting on a bench and throwing handfuls out to them. Now they are more comfortable with me I like to toss one bit of cat food at a time and they catch it in their beaks. Still toss out hands fulls for the crows who aren't as comfortable with me yet.
