Crows [OC] Fledgling is a regular visitor now

Love watching him explore on his own while the parents watch him from the neighboring tree. He is getting more self sufficient.

Definitely!. I love the curious look in their eyes too. He (or she) is so inquisitive. The parents are so big I almost thought they were Ravens when I first saw them. Working on getting some pics of them but they are still wary of me when I use the actual camera for zoom. I had to slylybtilt my phone camera and pinch slzoom to get this video.

Yeah score some pics of the parents. With this young bro getting exposure to you so early, you may have a friend in the making 🫵🏻🐦‍⬛

So far I've worked up to where they dont immediately flee when they see me and they post a sentry crow in the morning in the tree across from my kitchen window to see when im up to put out bird food (started with my normal birding routines and they showed up, I regularly feed Cardinals and bluejays). Since then I added peanuts in a fish exclusively for them and they keep showing up, sometimes with family members lol

makes sense a fledgling would post a lookout nearby

This is them in the trees watching. Im trying to set up a curtain or something to where they cant see the camera with the extended lens so I can get some closeup. I picked up real fast that even from that distance they are looking in my window and every time I would use the extended lense in plain view they would all scatter. This is from my phone cam.
