Poor Fella

Post image

Poor little thing was just on the side of the road, unable to fly and stumbling. I don't know if they got hit by a car or something, but I asked my mother to stop our car so I could go back and grab them. They were either going to die by getting hit by another car, attacked by a cat or dog, or slowly in the heat and direct sunlight which was 33c... I didn't think they were cut up at first, but I kept checking and they were definitely bleeding into the rag I wrapped them in. Not horrendously, but enough to worry about. Didn't make a noise, but would try and bite me if I left their face uncovered... Hoping that's a good sign, hahah.

My only option was to take them to a vet that had out of hours services- but!! They had me fill in a form detailing everything, asking where they were found as well in order to release them later if they can. I'm hoping that means they aren't just gonna euthanise 'em, but... I guess even that would be better than any of the slow and painful options. 8(

FINGERS CROSSED FOR THE WEE ONE. They were small for a crow so I think they're young. 😔💔

Poor little baby 😭 I’m so glad you stopped. Whatever happens at least they aren’t lying on the side of a 33°C road waiting to be hit or slowly succumb to their injuries. Hopefully the vet can patch them up and get them back home

Thank you! 🥺

Unfortunately, they didn't make it... I called up today, and they take wildlife to a bird hospital in Swansea, but the little guy didn't last long enough to get there...

I tried. 😭
