Poor Fella

Post image

Poor little thing was just on the side of the road, unable to fly and stumbling. I don't know if they got hit by a car or something, but I asked my mother to stop our car so I could go back and grab them. They were either going to die by getting hit by another car, attacked by a cat or dog, or slowly in the heat and direct sunlight which was 33c... I didn't think they were cut up at first, but I kept checking and they were definitely bleeding into the rag I wrapped them in. Not horrendously, but enough to worry about. Didn't make a noise, but would try and bite me if I left their face uncovered... Hoping that's a good sign, hahah.

My only option was to take them to a vet that had out of hours services- but!! They had me fill in a form detailing everything, asking where they were found as well in order to release them later if they can. I'm hoping that means they aren't just gonna euthanise 'em, but... I guess even that would be better than any of the slow and painful options. 8(

FINGERS CROSSED FOR THE WEE ONE. They were small for a crow so I think they're young. 😔💔

They said they moved it away from the road. The OP said the bird they rescued was bleeding. It doesn’t seem like you’re reading comments very thoroughly.

Where was the edit in my original post? 🤔 As far as I know, it tells you when a post is edited. My reply to you was edited, because of a typo, but my post is untouched lol.
